These are the most powerful ways you can make a difference, and they allow you to meet your annual donation goals while staying within an easy to manage budget. Donate in Honour or Memory

Dedicate your donation.

There are times when a special friend or beloved family member inspires us to acknowledge and pay tribute to that person or relationship in a distinctive and meaningful manner.

One such expression is a donation made in honor or memory of a special friend or family member that can be directed to support SCFC’s programs and initiatives, that will directly impact causes that were significant in the life of that individual. Be sure to include who made the gift (you may remain anonymous if you prefer), and who the gift is in honour or memory of. For donations over $20, a charitable tax receipt will be issued in your name.

Legacy Giving

A legacy gift is a planned future donation to a charity, given through a will or other form of designation. It is a decision that each person makes in their own financial planning process.

Leaving a legacy gift is one of the most valuable ways to help the SCFC continue to support life-saving discoveries, education and awareness well into the future. It is a lasting statement of your generosity and care for the future of your family and community members. Deciding what legacy gift is right for you is just as important as your decision to leave a legacy, and can range from a gift of securities to bequests in your will.

Take the time to consider your options carefully and plan your gift in consultation with your family, lawyer or financial and/or tax advisor.

Corporate Gifts

When you make a corporate gift to the SCFC, you’re doing more than just making a donation – you’re engaging your employees, customers, suppliers and business partners.

When you give gifts of products and/or services, you help the SCFC reduce expenses.

Where applicable, your gift may be eligible for a tax receipt, recognized at our events, and/or on our website. We use these gifts to replace an item the Foundation would normally purchase; office equipment or supplies, food and beverage, venue space, auction items, incentive prizes, event décor, and transportation and delivery services.

Please consult with a Corporate Giving Coordinator before making your donation to ensure that your gift can be used as intended.

Your Gift in Action

Without gifts and donations from people like you SCFC would not be able to continue to do the work it does. Your donations lead directly to increased education and awareness, increased support around the country, and the advancement of research and patient care, thereby improving the prognosis and quality of life for those with sarcoma.
